Main Unit
1 Switch off the Vivo 45 LS and disconnect the power supply.
2 Remove the patient circuit.
3 Disconnect all electric cables.
4 Clean the outside of the Vivo 45 LS using a lint-free cloth with a mild soap solution,
and/or ethanol 70% for surface disinfection.
5 Reconnect the patient circuit. Make sure all parts are dry before the ventilator is put
into operation.
7.1.2
Air Pathway Disinfection
The table below lists the parts that might get contaminated by exhaled gases or bodily
fluids during normal use or single fault condition.

In case of contamination, the internal air pathways of the Vivo 45 LS may be disinfected
up to 10 times by a maximum 60 minute long validated ozone gas process.
Low resistance bacteria filter, if used, should be replaced every 24 hours.
7.1.3
Patient Circuit
The patient circuit should be cleaned and replaced in accordance with the manufac-
turer's instructions and care provider's instructions, where applicable. For safety
information, read 2.4 Usage of Patient Circuit, page 26.
