3.2.3 Railings installation

The power of the power control box must be disconnected when performing adjustments to surrounding
devices and confirm that the mechanical arm has stopped operating completely before performing
adjustments, according to EN ISO 13857 (EN294 & EN811) safety distance for upper and lower limbs.
Not only should the working range of the robot be taken into consideration for the installation of the
railings, the length of the worker's arm must also be considered so that they cannot touch the robot.
Figure 3.5 below shows a right railings installation height; the worker's arm can not still reach inside the
railings.
Please construct the railings properly and take into consideration whether the worker's arm can reach
inside the railings and touch the robot.
