The Hopper Lift Circuit

Problem
The hopper will not lift or lift slowly.
Troubleshooting: The Hopper Lift Circuit
Possible Cause
Engine RPM is too low.
The hydraulic fluid level in the hydraulic
tank is low.
The hopper lift cylinders is binding.
The hopper lift cylinders leaks internally.
The hopper lift control valve (auxiliary
control valve) is worn or damaged.
The charge pressure is low.

Corrective Action
Increase the engine RPM.
Adjust the hydraulic fluid level.
Check and clear the binding of the
hopper lift cylinder.
Repair or replace the hopper lift
cylinders.
Repair or replace the hopper lift control
valve.
Verify the charge pressure.
