3. Remove the hopper assembly from the machine; refer to
Hopper Assembly (page
4. Remove the chute assembly from the machine; refer to Operator's Manual.
Do not open radiator cap or drain coolant if the radiator or engine is
hot. Pressurized, hot coolant can escape and cause burns.
Ethylene−glycol antifreeze is poisonous. Dispose of coolant properly
or store it in a properly labeled container away from children and
pets.
5. Drain coolant from the radiator into a suitable container. Remove the radiator
from the machine (see
Diesel fuel is highly flammable and explosive. A fire or an explosion
from the fuel can burn you, burn other people, and damage property.
• Use caution whenever you store or handle diesel fuel.
• Do not smoke while filling the fuel tank.
• Do not fill the fuel tank while the engine is running, while the
engine is hot, or when the machine is in an enclosed area.
• Always fill the fuel tank outside and wipe up any spilled diesel
fuel before starting the engine.
• Store fuel in a clean, safety-approved container and keep the
cap in place.
• Use diesel fuel as an engine fuel only, not for any other purpose.
6. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank into a suitable container. Remove the fuel
tank from the machine; refer to

are used to secure the wire harness to the machine components. Record the
location of all cable ties that are removed from the machine during the engine
removal so that they can be properly replaced during the engine installation.
