Retrieving Alarm Data

The operator can retrieve information concerning alarm status. The response shows
all existing major and minor faults. Use the syntax described in
page 341.
To access the alarm data, type:
ALARM
A typical display is:
+>ALARM
Critical Alarms
None
Major Alarms
None
Minor Alarms
T100 Limit 1 MTIE Alarm on INP4.1
T100 Limit 2 MTIE Alarm on INP4.1

Note: Faults can be present with no alarm. This condition exists when
alarms are cleared without fixing the faults. See
page 105, for instructions.

Resetting Alarms

You can reset Audio, Major, Minor, or all alarms using a software command. When
cleared, the appropriate indicators and audio alarms turn off. This action removes
the fault condition. Remaining faults will reactivate the alarm. All faults must be
cleared before an alarm will clear itself. Use the syntax described in
Command, on page 341.
To clear the alarms, type:
ALARM CLEAR CRITICAL|MANJOR|MINOR|AUDIO|ALL

Purpose: Clear all alarms
Command:
ALARM CLEAR ALL
