4. Disconnect the harness from the switch.
5. To re-install, follow these steps in reverse order.

Main blower vane switch

The main blower vane switch is located inside the main AC blower close to the firewall side. The vane
switch monitors the airflow from the blower to ensure there is adequate cooling for the lamp.
Warning! If not avoided, the following could result in death or serious injury.
• This procedure must be performed by Christie qualified technicians.
• SHOCK HAZARD! Disconnect the product from AC before installing, moving, servicing, cleaning,
removing components, or opening any enclosure.
• EXPLOSION HAZARD! Always wear manufacturer approved protective safety clothing (gloves,
jacket, face shield) whenever the lamp door is open or when handling the lamp. Any local or
federal specifications take precedence over Christie's protective clothing recommendations.
1. Prepare the projector for service.
a) Turn off the lamp and projector.
b) Allow the projector to cool for a minimum of 15 minutes.
c) Disconnect the projector from AC power.
2. Open the lamp door (on page 53).
3. For safety reasons, remove the lamp (on page 74).
4. Remove the rear cover (on page 55).
5. Remove the exhaust vent connected to the projector.
6. Remove the rear top cover (on page 55).
7. Remove the two screws securing the switch bracket to the rear firewall.
