17.5 Power Supply for PLC Outputs

17.5.1 Introduction

The PLC of the iTNC 530 as well as the PL 4xx B / PL 510 are powered by the 24 V control
voltage of the machine (in accordance with VDE 0551).
The control voltage must be smoothed with a capacitance of 150 µF/A rated, at least however
with 1000 µF/A. At a current load of 15 A, for example, this corresponds to a capacity of 2250 µF.
