Error message EMERGENCY STOP defective
or EMERGENCY STOP wiring defective
Switch on the main switch of the machine,
confirm the Power interrupted message;
do not yet press the Control ON switch!
Measure the voltage at the Control-is-ready
(I3 = X42/4).
Is the I3 input
permanently at
high level?
Shut down the control and switch off the machine.
Disconnect and secure the original wires.
Insert a bridge between the Control-is-ready
input and output (X41/34 and X42/4).
Ensure same potential of the power supply.
-> See Caution at the end of this flow chart.
Switch on the machine and confirm
the Power interrupted message.
Does the error
message EMERGENCY STOP
defective reappear?
The fall times of mechanical switching elements
(relays, safety contactors, etc.) are too long,
or electronic switching elements triggered by
the Control-is-ready output are defective.
Use the circuit diagram of the machine tool.
Caution
If 24 V is supplied to the Control is ready output from the HEIDENHAIN inverter system
via connector X34, potential differences between the machine voltage and the 24 V from the
inverter can result in compensating currents.
Therefore it is preferable to supply X34 with machine voltage before you insert a bridge
between the Control is ready input and output during the following investigation!
