Engine Infill Panels
Engine infill panels are fitted to the frame, towards the
rear of the engine, on both sides of the motorcycle.
Removal
Before starting work, ensure the motorcycle is stabilised
and adequately supported. This will help prevent it from
falling and causing injury to the operator or damage to
the motorcycle.
1.
Release the two screws securing each panel to the
frame.

Infill panel
2.
Withdraw the infill panel.
Note:
A connector bracket is located behind the infill
panel on the left hand side.
Installation
1.
Position the left hand engine infill panel to the frame.
Align the screw holes in the panel with those in the
connector bracket and frame.
2.
Fit the screws and tighten to
4 Nm.
3.
Repeat for the right hand panel.
Note:
There is no connector bracket on the right
hand side.
Headstock Covers - Rocket III
Touring with an Alarm
Note:
The upper screw securing the headstock cover
is fitted with a locknut. Do not release the
upper screw before removing the locknut.

To gain access to the locknut, raise the fuel tank (see
page 11-151).
