8.
Fit the mudguard cover fixings. Tighten the M8
fixings to
26 Nm
and the M 10 fixings to
45 Nm.

Reconnect the rear light, number plate light and
indicators.
10. Reconnect the battery, positive (red) lead first.
11. Check that the rear light, number plate light and
indicators all function correctly.
12. Refit the side covers (see page
17-20>.
13. Refit the seats (see page 17-17).

Rear Mudguard - Rocket III Touring
Removal
Before starting work, ensure the motorcycle is stabilised
and adequately supported. This will help prevent it from
falling and causing injury to the operator or damage to
the motorcycle.
1.
Remove the seat (see page 17-18).
2.
Disconnect the battery, negative (black) lead first.
3.
Remove both side covers (see page 17-19).
4.
Remove the panniers (see page 17-21),
5.
Release the pannier rail link fixings and remove the
pannier rail link.
