Test
Use the Email Alert Test page to verify that the Email alert settings are configured
properly. After you specify the settings on this page and click Submit, the device will
use the configured SMTP server to send an Email to the configured Email addresses.
To access this page, click System > Advanced Configuration > Email Alerts >
Test.

three SMTP (mail) servers on the network that can handle Email alerts sent from the
switch.
To access this page, click System > Advanced Configuration > Email Alerts >
Server.

Description
Determines how frequently the non critical messages are sent to the
SMTP server.
Click Submit to save the values and update the screen.
Click Refresh to update the screen.
Click Cancel to restore default value.
Description
Specifies the type of message to test for email alert functionality.
Specifies the text contained in the body of the email alert test mes-
sage.
Click Submit to save the values and update the screen.
Click Refresh to update the screen.
Click Cancel to restore default value.
Description
Shows the IPv4/IPv6 address or host name of the SMTP server that
handles email alerts that the device sends.
Specifies the TCP port that email alerts are sent to on the SMTP
server.
Specifies the type of authentication to use with the mail server, which
can be TLSv1 (SMTP over SSL) or None (no authentication is
required).
If the Security is TLSv1, this field specifies the user name required to
access the mail server.
