CLI Banner
Use the CLI Banner Configuration page to configure a message that appears before
the user prompt as a Pre- login banner. The message configured shows up on Telnet,
SSH and Console connections.
To access this page, click System > Management Access > CLI Banner.

Use the HTTP Configuration page to configure the HTTP server settings on the sys-
tem.

Description
Serial port inactivity timeout value, in minutes. A logged-in user who
does not exhibit any CLI activity through the serial port connection for
this amount of time is automatically logged out of the device.
The number of signals per second transmitted over the physical
medium, measured in bits per second.
The parity method used on the serial port.
The number of stop bits per character.
Indicates whether hardware flow control is enabled or disabled on the
serial port.
Click Submit to save the values and update the screen.
Click Refresh to update the screen.
Click Cancel to restore default value.
Description
To create the CLI banner message, type the desired message in the
text area. If you reach the end of the line, the text wraps to the next
line. The line might not wrap at the same location in the CLI. To create
a line break (carriage return) in the message, press the Enter key on
the keyboard. The line break in the text area will be at the same loca-
tion in the banner message when viewed through the CLI.
Click Submit to save the values and update the screen.
Click Refresh to update the screen.
Click Clear to clear the CLI banner message from the device
Click Cancel to restore default value.
