3. Injector Signal Line Open Circuit Inspection
Connect the ECM test harness to the ECM con-
nectors (page 5-14).
Connect the continuity between the test harness
terminal and injector 2P (Gray) connector of the
wire harness side.
CONNECTION: SIGNAL LINE – SIGNAL LINE
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
4. Injector Signal Line Short Circuit Inspection
Check for continuity between the injector 2P
(Gray) connector of the wire harness side and
ground.
CONNECTION: SIGNAL LINE – Ground
Is there continuity?
YES
NO

– GO TO STEP 4.
– Open circuit in SIGNAL line wire
– Short circuit in SIGNAL line wire
– Replace the ECM with a known good
one, and recheck; refer to Key Registra-
tion Procedures (page 21-6)
