FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
3. Injector Resistance Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Measure the resistance of the injector connector
terminals.
STANDARD: 11 – 13 Ω (20 °C/68 °F)
Is the resistance within 11 – 13 Ω (20 ° C/68 ° F)?
YES
NO
4. Injector Signal Line Open Circuit Inspection
Disconnect the ECM 33P (Black) connector.
Check the continuity between the ECM 33P
(Black) connector and injector 2P (Gray) connec-
tor of the wire harness side.
CONNECTION: SIGNAL LINE – SIGNAL LINE
TOOL:
Test probe
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
5. Injector Signal Line Short Circuit Inspection
Check for continuity between the injector 2P
(Gray) connector and ground.
CONNECTION: SIGNAL LINE – Ground
Is there continuity?
YES
NO

– GO TO STEP 4.
– Faulty injector

– GO TO STEP 5.
– Open circuit in SIGNAL line wire
– Short circuit in SIGNAL LINE wire
– Replace the ECM with a known good
one, and recheck; refer to Key Registra-
tion Procedures (page 21-6)
