FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
DTC 2-1 (MAP SENSOR HOSE
CONNECTION)
• Before starting the inspection, check for loose or
poor contact on the MAP sensor 3P (Black) con-
nector and ECM 33P connectors, then recheck
the DTC.
1. MAP Sensor System Inspection
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch "
Start the engine and check the MAP sensor with
the HDS pocket tester at idle speed.
Is the reading changed?
YES
NO
2. MAP sensor hose inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Check for connection and installation of the MAP
sensor vacuum hose.
Is the MAP sensor vacuum hose connection cor-
rect?
YES
NO
3. MAP Sensor System Inspection
Replace the MAP sensor with a known good one
(page 5-93).
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch "
Start the engine and check the MAP sensor with
the HDS pocket tester at idle speed.
Is the reading changed?
YES
NO
