EVAPORATIVE EMISSION PURGE SOLENOID
OPERATION
The evaporative emission purge solenoid is an ON-OFF type one which controls introduction of purge
l
air from the canister into the intake air plenum.
When the engine control module turns ON the power transistor in the module, current flows to the
coil, introducing purge air.
