MULTIPORT FUEL INJECTION - Troubleshooting
DTC No.
Background
The engine control module checks current flows in the turbocharger waste gate solenoid drive
circuit when the solenoid is ON and OFF.
Range of Check, Set Conditions
No surge voltage is detected when the turbocharger waste gate solenoid is turned off.
DTC No.
Fuel Pressure Solenoid Malfunction
Background
The engine control module checks current flows in the fuel pressure solenoid drive circuit when
the solenoid is ON and OFF.
Range of Check, Set Conditions
No surge voltage is detected when the fuel pressure solenoid is turned off.
DTC No.
Ignition Timing Adjusting Circuit Malfunction
Background
If there is a short circuit in the line between the engine control module and the ignition
l
timing adjustment terminal, the line voltage will become low.
The engine control module checks whether this occurs.
l
Range of Check
Ignition switch: ON
Set Conditions
The ignition timing adjusting signal wire is shorted to the ground.

Manifold Differential Pressure Sensor Circuit
Malfunction
Background
The manifold differential pressure sensor outputs a voltage which corresponds to the negative
l
pressure in the intake manifold.
The engine control module checks whether the voltage output by the manifold differential
l
pressure sensor is within a specified range.
Range of Check, Set Conditions
After the engine has warmed up, it runs at low or medium load.
l
The engine coolant temperature at the time of starting the engine is 18°C (654°F) or
l
more.
The sensor output voltage is 4.5 V or more for 4 seconds, or the sensor output voltage
l
is 0.2 V or less for 4 seconds.
