User Guidelines
Copper ports of 10G Base-T only support auto-negotiation functionality. The following port
speeds can be set as a result of the auto-negotiation process:
100BASE-TX
1000BASE-T
10GBASE-T
The default is 10GBASE-T (with auto negotiation enabled.).
NOTE: Manual port speed configuration is not available by PC8024/PC8024F firmware. If you are trying to
disable auto-negotiation and force speed on the port, the CLI will display the following error message:
console(config-if-1/xg17)#no negotiation
An invalid interface has been used for this function.
console(config-if-1/xg17)#speed
In order for physical mode configurations to take effect, auto-
negotiate must be disabled. Use 'no negotiation' command to
disable.
