Recovering from a dead system in a SuperNode switch

Determine if your switch is equipped with one or more link peripheral
processors (LPP).
If the switch you recover
has LPPs
has LPPs or ELPPs
does not have LPPs
does not have LPPs or ELPPs
Determine if PDC power is restored to the LPP(s).
If PDC power
is restored to the LPPs
is restored to the LPPs or ELPPs step 108
is not restored to the LPPs
is not restored to the LPPs or
ELPPs
Check the PDC fuses that supply the LPP.
If a fuse
has blown
has not blown
Replace the blown fuses.
Note: If fuses blow repeatedly, contact your next level of support for help.
When PDC power returns to the LPPs, go to step 108.
Contact the personnel responsible for power maintenance at your site, or
consult your next level of support for help.
When PDC power returns to the LPPs, proceed to step 108.
Locate the LPPs for recovery.
