Symptom:

*DECKLID AJAR CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND

DECKLID AJAR SWITCH SHORTED TO GROUND
DECKLID AJAR SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
BODY CONTROL MODULE - DECKLID AJAR SHORTED
TEST
1 With the DRBIII in Inputs/Outputs, read the DECKLID AJAR SW state.
While monitoring the DRBIII , disconnect the Decklid Ajar Switch connector.
Did the Switch State change from CLOSED to OPEN?
Yes → Replace the Decklid Ajar Switch.
→ Go To 2
No
2 Disconnect the Decklid Ajar Switch connector.
Disconnect the BCM C3 harness connector.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, probe the Sense circuit and test for
a short to ground.
Does the test light illuminate?
Yes → Repair the Decklid Ajar Switch Sense circuit for a short to ground.
→ Go To 3
No
3 If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.

Replace the Body Control Module.
