Symptom:

BCM - ACCESSORY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN

When Monitored and Set Condition:
BCM - ACCESSORY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
When Monitored: When the ignition is in the Accessory or Run position.
Set Condition: The Body Control Module supplies the ignition output to the accessory
relay. If the accessory relay current draw is less than 0.1 amp when the ignition switch is
in the accessory or run position within 125 ms, this code will set.
DTC PRESENT
ACCESSORY RELAY COIL OPEN
ACCESSORY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
BODY CONTROL MODULE
TEST

With the DRBIII , erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from OFF to ON.
Turn the radio on.
With the DRBIII , read DTCs.
Does the DRBIII display ACCESSORY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN?
Yes → Go To 2
→ The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this
No

Remove the accessory relay from the PDC.
Install a substitute relay in place of the Accessory Relay.
With the DRBIII , erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from OFF to ON.
With the DRBIII , read DTCs.
Does the DRBIII display ACCESSORY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN?
Yes → Go To 3
→ Replace the accessory relay.
No
