Symptom:
P0645-A/C CLUTCH RELAY CIRCUIT
When Monitored and Set Condition:
P0645-A/C CLUTCH RELAY CIRCUIT
When Monitored: With the ignition key in the run position and battery voltage above 10.4
volts.
Set Condition: An open or shorted condition is detected in the A/C clutch relay control
circuit.
A/C CLUTCH RELAY OPERATION
A/C CLUTCH RELAY
(F202) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT
(C13) A/C CLUTCH RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
(C13) A/C CLUTCH RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND

Ignition on, engine not running
With the DRBIII , read DTCs and record the related Freeze Frame data.
With the DRBIII , actuate the A/C Clutch Relay.
Is the A/C Clutch Relay clicking?
Yes → Refer to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION Symptom (Diagnos-
→ Go To 2
No

Turn the ignition off.
Remove the A/C Clutch Relay from the PDC.
Measure the resistance between Coil Terminals of the A/C Clutch Relay.
Is the resistance between 50.0 and 90.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 3
→ Replace the A/C Clutch Relay.
No

Ignition on, engine not running.
Measure the voltage on the (F202) Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit for the A/C
Clutch in the PDC.
Is the voltage above 10.0 volts?
Yes → Go To 4
→ Repair the open or short to ground in the (F202) Fused Ignition
No

Switch Output circuit. Inspect and replace fuses as necessary.
