STARTING
Symptom:
*NO CRANK CONDITION
POWERTRAIN FUSES OPEN
MECHANICAL CONDITION
BATTERY CIRCUIT RESISTANCE TOO HIGH
(G5) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT
PUSH BUTTON STARTER SWITCH
(F145) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT
CLUTCH INTERLOCK SWITCH
(F45) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT
(K90) STARTER RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
STARTER RELAY
(A107) FUSED B+ CIRCUIT
(T40) STARTER RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN
STARTER
TEST

Check for any open fuses in the PDC or Junction Block that may be related to the No
Start condition.
Are any of the fuses open?
Yes → Replace any open fuses and check the related circuit(s) for a short
→ Go To 2
No

NOTE: Verify the battery is fully charged and capable of passing a load test
before continuing.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THE BATTERY IS DISCONNECTED, THEN WAIT
TWO MINUTES BEFORE PROCEEDING.
Turn the engine over by hand to ensure the engine is not seized.
Is the engine able to turn over?
Yes → Go To 3
→ Repair the mechanical condition preventing the starter motor
No

Check the Battery Cables for excessive resistance using the service information
procedure.
Did either Battery Cable have a voltage drop greater than 0.2 of a volt?
Yes → Repair the excessive resistance in the Battery circuit.
→ Go To 4
No
POSSIBLE CAUSES
ACTION
to ground.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1.
from cranking.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1.
