3.21.1.1

Rebooting the RX8000 Using the Front Panel

Any of the RX8000 variants can be rebooted quickly using the front panel interface.
This can be done at any time from any of the front panel menu screens.

Swapping Between Flash Banks Using the Front Panel

The main software version that executes on the RX8000 can be downloaded to and
run from one of two flash banks. The current flash bank can be determined by
navigating to menu number 1.2.1 and viewing the current software version running
on the unit. The Bank number is shown in brackets after the version number:
To switch between flash banks:

Config Fault – This is generated by errors in the table generation. The usual
cause is missing table on the input that is needed to regenerate the output
tables (e.g. NIT).
Output Fault – This is generated by the transport rate not being set high
enough to accommodate the transcoded services.
