GOP Structure – There GOP parameters allow the output picture structure to
be defined. Normally, it is advisable not to modify these settings.
When not following the incoming GOP format the M and N values define the
group structure with N being the length of the GOP and M being the number of B
frames in that structure. i.e. M = 3 is IBBBP.
If the Follow GOP control is ticked then the unit attempts to match the outgoing
GOP structure to the incoming. This is bounded by the minimum and maximum
GOP length and B frames by setting the M and N values in this section.
Active Format Descriptors and Bar Data – These controls allow for the output
of the appropriate data in the outgoing encoded video.
Closed Captions – For streams that have closed caption data this allows the
output format to be specified. Commonly this would ATSC format.
Audio Pid – This displays the input audio PID and offers the ability to modify the
value used on the output.
Type – This display the incoming format as signaled in the PMT. By default, the
audio is in pass-thru mode and is output in the same format as received. It is
possible, with the correct licenses, to transcode the audio to MPEG, Dolby
Digital (Stereo) or HE-AAC.
