Configuring Transport Stream > Stat Mux
The Stat Mux feature is available if the RX8252/SWO/STAT_MUX license is
enabled.
Instead of using a fixed video bit rate it is possible to share the available bandwidth
across the services to give the most efficient allocation. This feature is enabled
under the Transport Stream page.

-
Remapped – The table is passed thru with no modification. If not all services
are transcoded they will not be removed from the remapped tables.
-
Stored – This allows the playout of a pre-defined table that is stored within
the Transcoder (NIT, SDT, EIT only). These tables are uploaded to the unit
via FTP.
Input PID – This allows the incoming PID for the table to be selected. Normally,
the default values are appropriate but if a table (e.g. SDT) is transmitted on a
separate unreferenced PID then this can be set here.
TDT/TOT Pass-through – Enables the pass-thru of the TDT and TOT tables if
present in the stream. These tables cannot be generated in the transcoder.
Original Network ID – Sets the outgoing Network ID. If set to Unchanged then
the identifier found in the input table is used.
Transport Stream ID – Sets the outgoing Transport ID. If set to Unchanged
then the identifier found in the input table is used.
Bit rate (Maximum) – Sets the bit rate (in Mbps) for the transcoded Transport
Stream output.
Used Bandwidth – Displays bandwidth usage (in kbps) of the actual data
excluding null packets. If the background turns from green to red this indicates
that the required transport rate is above the set maximum bit rate.
Min SD Bit Rate – Sets the lowest bit rate (in Mbps) for any SD video service in
the group. If there are sudden jumps in complexity for the encoded video it may
be necessary to increase the minimum.
