Functional Description
Service Splitting allows up to 8 services from the incoming transport to be split
across the two Ethernet output ports. This is the third and final routing stage for the
transport stream being processed by the RX8000. At this stage, services may have
already been descrambled and filtered from the Service plus page.
The Transport Stream prior to this stage will have been routed to the ASI output as
the ASI stream can not be configured for Service Splitting. At this stage the
Transport Stream can be passed through to the IP Output ports to match the ASI
Output stream or split across the two IP Output ports to provide two separate
streams.
This feature is only available when the unit is fitted with an IP Output Card.
3.19.5.6
Configuration
From the Output > Filter page of the web browser interface, the Service Splitting
option must be Enabled. If not, the complete transport stream that has been routed
to this stage will be output through both Ethernet output ports.
Any changes which are made to the Service Split page may be confirmed by
selecting the Apply Changes button. Selecting the Refresh button will ensure that
the latest information is being displayed from the current values of the equipment.
The Drop All Selections button will remove all service selections including services
stored from the previous PAT.
To view this page, select the Service Split tab from the top of the web page.
