page.
Figure 3.179 Program Transcoder Services Page
The Services table lists, on the left-hand side the detected services within the
received Transport Stream. The details of a selected service, including Video, Audio
and Data Services usage are displayed on the right-hand side of the screen when
the relevant Details button is clicked.
3-374
Min HD Bit Rate – Sets the lowest bit rate (in Mbps) for any HD video service in
the group. If there are sudden jumps in complexity for the encoded video it may
be necessary to increase the minimum.
Delay – The delay between the video being decoded and then being re-
encoded. If this value is reduced the algorithm may not have time to react to
changes in complexity and therefore may reduce quality.
Target Bit Rate – This is the available bit rate within the Transport Stream
maximum that can be allocated to the services in the group.
Remove Inactive Entries – When the incoming services in the Transport
Stream change, any services that have been removed are remembered and still
displayed on the assumption that they will return at some point in the future. It is
possible to remove these from the unit by selecting the button.
Type – Displays an icon for the type of service, e.g. TV.
Name – Displays the name of the service, e.g Tarab.
Service ID – Displays the service identifier number of the incoming service.
Transcode - Remove – This button enables you to remove the selected service
from the transcoded Transport Stream if it is no longer present.
