12 Re-engage the drive hubs by turning over
the drive hub disconnect caps. Rotate each
wheel to check for engagement. Lift the
machine and remove the blocks. Lower the
machine.
Collision hazard. Failure to
re-engage the drive hubs could
result in death or serious injury and
property damage.
All models:
13 Be sure the free-wheel valve on the drive pump
is closed (clockwise).
The free-wheel valve is located on
the drive pump, and should always
remain closed.

Check the Turntable Rotation
Bearing Bolts
Maintaining proper torque on the turntable bearing
bolts is essential to safe machine operation.
Improper bolt torque could result in an unsafe
operating condition and component damage.
1 Raise the boom to a horizontal position.
2 Install a safety chock (Genie part number
75097) onto the hydraulic lift cylinder extension
rod. Carefully lower the boom onto the lift

CHECKLIST D PROCEDURES
Genie specifications require that
this procedure be performed every
1000 hours or annually, whichever
comes first.
Crushing hazard. Keep hands
away from the cylinder and all
moving parts when lowering the
boom.
The lift cylinder safety chock is
available through Genie (Genie part
number 75097).
