Dangerous voltage being measured. (RSFTD005)
Perform the following:
a. Connect the AC power jumper cables to the AC input/battery charger
unit.
b. Disconnect the AC power jumper cable at the power supplies.
c. Use a multimeter to measure the DC voltage of the power jumper cables
input to the power supplies.
Is the DC voltage from 145 V DC to 259 V DC (200 V AC to 240 V AC for
dual line cord units)for each power jumper cable?
Yes No
↓
Exchange the power jumper cable.
This ends the procedure.
Exchange the following parts one at a time.
v SPCN card unit (TWRCARD).
v Display unit (CTLPNL).
v Power supply (PWRSPLY), with a new unit, replace 1 of the power supplies
1, 2, or 3 until the failing unit is found.
This ends the procedure.
a. Disconnect the mainline AC power cable from the customer's AC power
outlet.
Note: On Model 840 and SB3 disconnect both mainline AC power cables.
b. Exchange one of the following FRUs:
Attention: Disconnecting or removing the cryptographic I/O processor
for any reason causes the loss of the master encryption key. Read
Important Cryptographic I/O Processor Information before disconnecting
or removing the cryptographic I/O processor.
v System unit control panel card (CTLPNL)
v SPCN card (TWRCARD)
v AC module (ACMODUL) or Battery Charger unit (BATCHGR)
v System unit control panel cable
v System unit SPCN frame to frame cable
v System unit backplane (BACKPLN)
c. Reconnect the mainline AC power cables to the power outlet.
d. Attempt to power on the system.
e. If the system powers on, the FRU you exchanged is the failing item.
If the system does not power on, repeat steps 11a through 11e of this
procedure and exchange the next FRU in the list.
If the system does not power on after exchanging all the FRUs in the list, ask
your next level of support for assistance.
This ends the procedure.
