Are the mirrors, lens, ADF glass and
document glass dirty?
Is the shading sheet under the
contact cover dirty?
Is the LED lamp dirty or deteriorated?
Do the connection from CCD 
Scanner board  Main control board
 LPH board  LPH connect board
 LED unit remain intact?
Is the trouble settled with above
steps?
Are the mirrors, lens, DADF glass
and document glass dirty?
Is the shading plate for DADF
scnanning section dirty?
Is the LED lamp dirty or deteriorated?
Do the connection from CCD 
R-Scanner board  RADF board
Main control board  LPH board
 LPH connect board  LED unit
remain intact?
Is the trouble settled with above
steps?

YES Clean.
If the trouble is not settled
by cleaning, adjust the
background level.
YES Clean.

NO Reconnect / Replace harness
