Safety information Laser Safety This is a digital machine which operates by means of a laser. There is no possibility of danger from the laser, provided the machine is operated according to the instruc- tions in this manual. Since radiation emitted by the laser is completely confined within protective hous- ing, the laser beam cannot escape from the machine during any phase of user operation.

Getting started Entering characters Some settings give you a chance to enter characters; for TTI, remote fax’s name or others. To enter letters or other characters, use one-touch keys, numeric keypad or code keys.
