vlan

This command configures a VLAN. Use the no form to restore the default settings or
delete a VLAN.
Syntax
vlan vlan-id [name vlan-name] media ethernet
[state {active | suspend}] [rspan]
no vlan vlan-id [name | state]
vlan-id - VLAN ID, specified as a single number, a range of consecutive numbers
separated by a hyphen, or multiple numbers separated by commas. (Range:
1-4093, no leading zeroes)
name - Keyword to be followed by the VLAN name.
vlan-name - ASCII string from 1 to 32 characters.
media ethernet - Ethernet media type.
state - Keyword to be followed by the VLAN state.
active - VLAN is operational.
suspend - VLAN is suspended. Suspended VLANs do not pass packets.
rspan - Keyword to create a VLAN used for mirroring traffic from remote
switches. The VLAN used for RSPAN cannot include VLAN 1 (the switch's
default VLAN). Nor should it include VLAN 4093 (which is used for switch
clustering). Configuring VLAN 4093 for other purposes may cause problems in
the Clustering operation. For more information on configuring RSPAN through

Default Setting
By default only VLAN 1 exists and is active.

Command Usage
no vlan vlan-id deletes the VLAN.
no vlan vlan-id name removes the VLAN name.
no vlan vlan-id state returns the VLAN to the default state (i.e., active).
You can configure up to 4093 VLANs on the switch.
