For an Ethernet port, the link-delay command cannot take effect on ports that are manually
disabled using the shutdown command.
It is recommended that you do not use this command on ports that are not enabled with RRPP,
SMTP, or Smart Link.
Examples
# Set the down suppression time of the physical connection of an Ethernet port to 8 seconds.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface gigabitethernet 2/0/1
[Sysname-GigabitEthernet2/0/1] link-delay 8

Parameters
delay-time: Link up suppression time, in seconds. The value range is 0 to 30. By default the value is 0.
mode up: Specifies the state change suppression mode as up.
Description
Use the link-delay delay-time mode up command to configure the up suppression time of
physical-link-down-state changes on the current port.
Use the undo link-delay command to restore the default.
Disabled by default.
The link-delay mode up and link-delay commands supersede each other.
