DISCARDING: The port does not learn MAC addresses or forward user
traffic
LEARNING: The port learns MAC addresses but does not forward user
traffic
Protection type on the port, which can be:
ROOT: Root guard
LOOP: Loop guard
BPDU: BPDU guard
NONE: No protection
