[SENSe:]{RESistance|FRESistance}:POWer:LIMit[:STATe] {OFF|ON}
[SENSe:]{RESistance|FRESistance}:POWer:LIMit[:STATe]?
Enables or disables low-power resistance measurements (either 2- or 4-wire).
This parameter is common to 2-wire and 4-wire resistance measurements. Using the FRESistance version
of this command or query is identical to using the RESistance version.
Parameter
{ON|1|OFF|0}. Default: OFF.
Configure 4-wire resistance measurements using a 10 PLC integration time. Enable low-power 4-wire res-
istance measurements. Then make and read one measurement:
CONF:FRES
FRES:NPLC 10
FRES:POW:LIM ON
READ?
Typical Response: +6.27530000E+01
Applies only to the 34465A and 34470A.
l
This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST) or Instrument Preset
l
(SYSTem:PRESet).
Low-power resistance measurements apply to the 100Ω through 100kΩ ranges only. The 1 MΩ
l
through 1 GΩ ranges source the same current regardless of the low-power setting.
[SENSe:]{RESistance|FRESistance}:RANGe {< range >|MIN|MAX|DEF}
[SENSe:]{RESistance|FRESistance}:RANGe? [{MIN|MAX|DEF}]
Selects a fixed measurement range for all resistance measurements.
This parameter is common to 2-wire and 4-wire resistance measurements. Using the FRESistance version
of this command or query is identical to using the RESistance version.
{100 Ω|1 kΩ|10 kΩ|100 kΩ|1 MΩ|10 MΩ|100 MΩ|1 GΩ}. Default: 1 kΩ.
Configure 2-wire resistance measurements using the 10 kΩ range. Then make and read one meas-
urement:
CONF:RES
RES:RANG 10E3
READ?
Typical Response: +6.27530000E+03
The 1 GΩ range applies only to the 34465A and 34470A.
l
Selecting a fixed range ([SENSe:]< function >:RANGe) disables autoranging.
l
If the input signal is greater than can be measured on the specified manual range, the instrument dis-
l
plays the word Overload on front panel and returns "9.9E37" from the remote interface.
