Sets the command prompt seen when communicating with the instrument via Telnet.
String of up to 15 characters
Default is Instrument Model Number: 34460A>, 34461A>, 34465A>, or
34470A>
Set the command prompt:
SYST:COMM:LAN:TELN:PROM "Command>"
On the 34460A, this requires option 34460A-LAN or option 3446LANU.

The instrument uses LAN port 5024 for SCPI Telnet sessions and port 5025 for SCPI Socket sessions.

Telnet sessions are typically started from a host computer shell:

telnet < IP_address > < port >
For example:
telnet 169.254.4.10 5024
To exit a Telnet session, press < Ctrl-D >.
This setting is non-volatile; it is not changed by power cycling, a Factory Reset (*RST), or an Instru-
