FINAL DRIVE INSTALLATION
Apply 5-8 9 of molybdenum disulfide grease to the
drive shaft splines.
Insert the drive shah into the swingarm while align-
ing the splines of the drive shaft and universal joint.
Install the spring into the drive shaft.
Clean the mating surfaces of the gear case.
Coal a new O-ring with grease and install it into the
groove in the gear case.

Install the final drive assembly onlo the swingarm .
Install the skid plate stay and four new bolts, and
loosely tighten the bolts.
Connect the breather hoses to the hose joint of the
gea r case.

Install the final drive assembly onto the swing arm.
InSlall the four new bolts. and loosely tighten the
bolts.
Connect the breather hose to the hose joint of the
gear case.
Install the new bolts to the final gear case right
mount.
First tighten the final gear case front mounting bolts
to the specified torque .
TORQUE: 54 N·m (5.5 kgf·m , 40 Ibf·ttl
Tighten the final gear case right mounting bolts to
the specified t orque.
TORQUE: 54 N·m (5.5 kgf·m , 40 Ibf·ttl
Install the rear axle (page 18-221
Fill the final gear case with recommended gear oil
(page 4-15).
