SUB-TRANSMISSION/GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
The rear end
Disassemble the countershaft.

countershaft.
Remove the snap ring and washer.
Pull out the gearshift spindle and remove the gear-
shift arm.
INSPECTION
CDUNTEASHAFT
Check the gear shifter for smoot h operation.
Check the gear shifter groove, dogs and splines for
abnormal wear or damage.
Check the gear dogs and t eet h for abnormal wear or
damage.
Measure the each gear 1.0.
SERVICE LIMIT: 21.05 mm (0.829 in)
Check the gear bushing 1.0. and 0.0 .
SERVICE LIMITS:
1.0. : 18.07 mm (0.71' in)
0.0.: 20.93 mrn (0.824 in)
