Connect the alternator 5P (Natural) connector.
Install the following:
- recoil starter (page 11 -9)
- air cleaner housing (page 6-5)
- engine guard
Fill the engine with recommended oil (page 4-13).

Remove the rear crankcase cover (page 12·6).
Remove the staner reduction gear and shaft.
Remove the flywheel and starter driven gear using
the special tool.
TOOL:
Rotor puller

Remove the needle bearing and thrust washer, and
the woodruff key_
