CRANKSHAFT/AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
The dowel pin hole in the automatic transmission
unit is facing to the left.
Install the front crankcase over the rear crankcase.
Install and tighten the front crankcase bolts in a
crisscross pattern in several steps.
Install and tighten the rear crankcase bolts in a criss-
cross panern in several steps.
Check that the angle sensor joint oil seal is in good
conditi on and replace if necessary.
Inslall the angle sensor joint while aligning the end
with the automatic tra nsmission groove.
Apply grease to a new O-ring, and install
it
into the
groove of the angle sensor bracket.
Install the angle sensor bracket assembly while
aligning the shaft end with the groove in the sensor.
Adjust the angle sensor preload (page 24·44).
Install and tigh ten the angle sensor bracket mount-
ing socket bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 10 N ·m (1 .0 kgf·m , 7 Ibf·ft)
