3. Gear Pos ition Switch line Inspection (Gear posi-
tion switch side)
Check for continuity between each terminal of , - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -,
the switch side 4P (Natural) connector Bnd
ground in the same manner as the STEP 2 (page
24-17),
Is there continuity?
NO - Faulty gear position switch
YES - Open or short circui t in wire between
the ECM and the gear position switch
4. Mode Select Switch line Inspection (ECM side)
L9 - .. to Neutral Switch
Lb - - . . to Drive Switch
Gr ------. to Reverse Switch
Check for continuity between the ECM connector , - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- ,
terminals in each switch position (page 24-17).
Is there continuity?
NO - GO TO STEP 5.
YES - GO TO STEP 6.
