Relief Valve Inspection - Honda Fourtrax Rancher AT 2004 Service Manual

Check the ope ration of the pressure relief valve by
pushing on the piston.
Disassemble the relief valve by removing the snap
ring.
Inspect the piston for wear, sticking or damage.
Inspect the spring for weakness or damage.
Assemble the relief valve in the reverse order of dis-
assembly.
Apply engine oil to a new O-ring and install it into
the oil pressure relief valve groove.
Install t he pressure relief valve into the front crank-
case cover.
Install the front crankcase cover.
Check the oil pressure (page 5-7),

Remove the relief valve setting bol ts and sealing .. - - - - - -
washers.
Remove the spr ings and relief valves.
