Check for continuity between the Blue/red and , - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ,
the Green wire terminals of the wire harness
side.
Is there continuity?
NO
YES
- Faulty ECM.
- Short circuit in Blue/red wire.
OIL TEMPERATURE INDICATOR DOES NOT COME
ON, WHEN THE OIL IS OVER THE SPECIFIED
TEMPERATURE

Remove the resonator chamber (page &5).
Disconnect the ECM 34P (Black) connector.
Measure the resistance Yellow/green wire termi-
nal of the wire harness side and ground_
Is the resistance within the 3.3 - 3.7
to

NO _ . Short circuit in Yellow/g reen wire.
• Check the oil temperature sensor
(page 22-17).
YES - GO TO STEP

between the combination meter and
ECM.
• Faulty combination meter.
