lnsta!l new mounting nut s but do not lighte n the m
yet .
Install a new seal ru bber o nto t he seal g roo ve in the
pr ope ller shaft in th e direction as show n.
Inst all the jo int boot o nlO the boo t g roov e and th e
bo ot band into th e band gr oove in th e boo t.
A pp ly molybdenum di sulfide g rease to th e seal rub-
ber c ute r surf ace.
Install the brake disc with the stamp facing the
engine side . Install new di sc bolts and t ighten them
in a cris scross patt ern in seve ral ste ps.
Ap ply 5 - 8 9 of m olybden um disulfide gr ease to t he
pin io n joint spli nes.
Install t he spri ng into the pro pell er shalt .
Set the propell er shaft i nto the pin ion joint wh ile
co mpressi ng t he spring, then install t he boo t ov er
th e pin ion jo i nt gr oov e securely and secure it wi t h
t he bo ot band.
Be su re the pro peller shah is installed properl y by
pulling o n th e sha ft lig ht ly.
