PISTON f PISTON RING
Inspect the piston rings fo r smooth movement by
rotating them. The rings should be able to move in
their grooves without catching.
Push the ring until the outer surface of the piston
ring is nearly flush with the piston and measure the
ring -to-ring groove clearance.
SERVICE LIMITS:
Top: 0.09 mm (0.004 in)
Second: 0.09 mm (0.004 in)
Insert the piston ring into the bottom of the cylinder
squarely using the piston crown.
Measure the ring end gap.
SERVICE LIMITS:
T o p: 0.5 mm (0.02 in )
Second : 0.6 mm (0.02 in)
PISTON I
Measure the piston 0 .0. at a point 20 mm (0.8 in)

from the bottom and 90° to the piston pin hole.
SERVICE LIMIT: 84.93 mm (3.344 in)
