Pivot Bearing Replacement - Honda Fourtrax Rancher AT 2004 Service Manual

INSPECTION
Check the upper pivot bushing for wear or damage.
Check the damper unit for leaks or other damage.
Replace the shock absorber assembly if necessary.
PIVOT BEARING REPLACEMENT
Remove the shock absorber lower pivot collar and
dust seals.
Check the needle bearing for wear or damage and
replace if necessary.
Press the needle bearing out of the lower pivot
using the special tools.

Apply multi-purpose grease to the new needle bear-
ing .
Press a new needle bearing into the lower pivot
using t he special tools so that the needle bearing
surface is lower 5.0 - 5.5 mm (0.20 - 0.22 in ) from
Ihe end of the lower pivot.
