loosen the final gear case cover 8mm bolts and 10
mm bolts in a crisscross pattern in several steps and
remove them.
Pry the cover at the prying points using a flat blade
screwdriver and remove the case cover.
Remo ve the ring gear and shims.
BEARING INSPECTION
Turn the inner race of each bearing in the gear case
and case cover with your finger. The bearing s
should turn smoothly and quietly. Also check that
the bearing outer race fits tightty in the case and
cover.
