Differential Pinion Shaft, Differential Pinion and Differential
Side Gear
1. Remove the differential side gear (3) and shim (2).
2. Tap out the dowel pin (6).
3. Pull out the differential pinion shaft (7), then remove the
differential pinions (5), thrust collars (4), differential side gear
(10) and shim (9).
NOTE
• Arrange the parts to know their original positions.
(When reassembling)
• Apply molybdenum disulfide (Three Bond 1901 or equivalent) to
the inner circumferential surface of the differential side gears
(3), (10) and differential pinions (5).
• Apply grease to the outer surface of the pinion thrust collars (4).
