Supervisor Responsibilities

The supervisor is directly responsible for the creation and/or maintenance of the
configurations stored on the hard drive of the controller. These include:
Test Prints
Interface Setup
Configuration (Recall, Store, Remove, Edit)
Files
Password Enable/Change
Time
Procedures relative to all of the above, excluding Files, are included in
Chapter 6: Supervisory
The Files procedures are included in the following appendices.

Appendix A: Installing System Software

This appendix explains how to install the operating software for the LP 100R and
how to copy and/or install the various files used by the printer to control printer
operations, including the following:
System Program
System Menu
User's Configurations
System Setup

Appendix B: Managing Files

This appendix discusses the following:
System Error Log
Capture
It also explains how to store fonts, logos, and formats on the controller's hard
drive in either of the following directories:
Active directory (one for each type of file) – which contains the files that are
available to an application when the printer is started
Archive directory (one for each type of file) – which contains files that are not
available
Once stored on the hard drive, files can be:
Moved back and forth between the active and archive directories
Copied from the printer's diskette drive to either directory
Deleted from either directory
Note: If password protection has been enabled, none of the direct
responsibilities attributed to the supervisor can be accessed until the correct
password is entered.
